TAST stitch 58 is woven detached chain stitch. I’ve used it to alter a machine embroidered fabric on block 7 of Karen’s class Embroider, Embellish, Create.

TAST stitch 59 is Breton stitch, a lovely variation of the herringbone stitch.
First I used it on the
same block as the first photo. The thread is cotton a broder. Then I stitched a
stem stitch in the open lines of the corduroy.
I also made Breton
stitches on 14 count Aida. This row is stitched in Caron Wildflowers.
Here I made 2 mirrored
rows with perle 8.
This is an experiment
with Caron Watercolours. I made the twist of the Breton stitch on both sides.
