TAST stitch 60 is diamond stitch. It was the first TAST stitch in 2010 and I enjoyed stitching my
sampler. I wrote about the 3 rows on the left side with an explanation of the
beaded row here and I wrote about the other parts here.
A few weeks later I used
diamond stitch on my TAST 2010 CQ-page. The diamond stitch in perle 5 is
decorated with detached chain stitches in 2 threads of stranded floss.
Diamond stitch is also
part of the last sampler I made for TAST 2010. I used brown perle 5 and added a
few raised cup stitches.
Last month I stitched
diamond stitch in perle 5 on my crazy fabric book page Africa. I think I was
inspired by all diamond stitches on Sharon’s band sampler at the time.
This last sample is on
block 6 for Karen’s class Embroider, Embellish, Create.
I used masking tape to mark my stitches. I shared the finished block yesterday!

It is nice how stitches creep up in projects all over the blogging world!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI had a look at how you made the beaded band and am glad I did; at first glance I thought the yellow dots were beads, too, but now know they are the perle knots.
Thank you for always sharing your work, ideas and methods. You are a great teacher.
it is so good to see your examples of all the stitches Annet, you always manage to take them that bit further, thank you
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAnnet, geweldig wat jij allemaal maakt en kunt. Ik kijk vol bewondering toe.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAnnet,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI got so inspired by looking at your samples,I started playing with this stitch some more on my sampler. I took two of your samples and tried them. the broad blue seam in the centre and the beaded variation.
Thanks,
