This is my 8 x 8 inch book page for Teresa for the
book page swap at Stitchin Fingers. I used some of the new skills I learned in Karen’s class Embroider, Embellish, Create:
cutwork, prairie points, ruching and a different way of patching blocks. Of course I gave it my own twist on this page.
The flower in the top left corner is made with a Clover yoyo tool. The fabric I used is batik,
except for the ruching in velvet and the prairie points in organza. For the
embroidery I used TAST stitches with stranded floss, perle 5 and cotton a
broder. I couched 16 threads of knitting yarn to finish the edge. There’s a
bigger photo of this page on my Flickr-page.
ziet er oosters uit wel prachtig
