White CQ block 1

There’s a tone on tone CQ in my head (and my studio journal!) for some time now. Yesterday I was brave enough to sew the first block on my new sewing machine.
I never did this, I always patched them by hand! There are lots of white fabrics in my stash, some are very special. In this first one I used part of an old lace blouse of my youngest daughter (bottom right) and a scrap of the fabric I used for their cradle many years ago (bottom left). Maybe I use the hairpin lace doodle I made a few days ago, it looks very nice on this block.
The size of this block is 8 x 8 inch.

    The doodle does look sweet on this block. (Does the lace get its shape from the way you crocheted the edges?) It's going to be a lovely quilt.

      Yes Faith, it gets its shape from the crochet stitches.
