I made this ATC for the
January ATC swap at Stitchin Fingers. The pattern is one I found during
Sharon’s Stitch Explorer challenge Assisi in 2009. I like the Medieval look of
it and this swap was a great excuse to stitch it. The threads are stranded DMC,
2 strands for the cross stitches and 1 strand in a slightly darker colour for
the backstitches. I couched knitting cotton at the edge. There’s a bigger photo
of this ATC on my Flickr-page.
Erg mooi en toch nog een aardige klus als je bedenkt dat de hele ATC eigenlijk geborduurd is. De ontvanger zal er blij mee zijn!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI LOVE this, you really did a fantastic job working within the ATC parameters.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI really like this. It has a real historical flavour to it, like a pattern on an old vase. Nicely stitched.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBeautiful! (and thanks for the link to that great pattern site!)
