Last Wednesday I had no
progress to share, but today I want show you what
I added to block 5 for my
Crazy White quilt in the last few days.
I added beads to the
combo of herringbone and Cretan stitch.
The buttonholed
herringbone stitch needed something extra, luckily I had some pretty beads in my
stash, . . .
The last seam at the
bottom needed this pretty flower ribbon, which I decorated with beads in the
centre of the flowers. The charm just landed under the ribbon and it looked
alright. I hope it doesn’t fly to the spiderweb!

Beautiful, interesting variety and texture.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks, Janie. It's fun to work tone on tone.
VerwijderenI have some of those Miyuki beads, too. The hole is off centre, right? The charm will probably stay closer to the nectar of the flowers than to the spider's web so it should be safe!!!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYes, the hole of the Miyuki beads is of centre. They look like little waterdrops between the bows of the buttonholed herringbone. And I'm sure you're right about the charm!
Verwijderenlove the white on white beautiful block
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks, Margaret. I still enjoy working on these blocks, which is good . . . I have 24 blocks more to make!
