Today I tried the
buttonhole picots for week 39 and 40 of
TAST. I started with the bullion variation. I used a perle 8 and a milliners needle, but couldn't get it right.

Then I tried a perle 5 and made a heap of rubbish!

So I moved on to the chain variation with a perle 5,

a perle 12

amd 3 threads pf stranded DMC color variations.

It's time to try an easy stitch tomorrow!
I found this stitch a bit hard to do as well--I just couldn't seem to get it right.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI have never tried any Buttonhole Picot stitches and now begin to fear them!!!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI am still in the practicing mode, so feeling justified to work the buttonhole stitches apart. Otherwise I wouldn't know what I had done now. it is also faster to work this way. LOL!.
