Birthday card

On this birthday card I stitched a floral spray in perle 5 on felt. I used oyster stitch, feather stitch, fly stitch, detached chain stitch and French knots. Just click the photo to take a closer look.

  3. Beautiful stitching. The beads are striking, I don't think I have ever seen BEADS with letters on. Like Margaret I thought they were buttons.

    1. Thanks, Queenie. I have a few different letter bead sets, they are fun to use from time to time. I mostly find them at the beads for jewellery.

  4. Beautiful!! I love how you've not used the usual green at all for the stems. Very different, but looks great!!

    1. Thanks, Deepa. The normal green didn't work with the red background, so I just played with the colours I had until I found the right match.

  5. Love the letters! Your stitching is very striking, and a lovely design! Oooooh! I feel the urge to embroider coming on me! I love chain stitches, and feather stitches but I need to learn Oyster stitch. I'm off to look that one up!
Thank you, Annet, for the lovely inspiration!
