Work In Progress Wednesday - January 28

This week I added 2 more stitches to the needlepoint sampler I started last week. The first one is Parisian stitch. I found different variations of this stitch in my books, it was stitched over 2 and 4 threads or 2 and 6 threads. My sample is stitched over 2 and 6 threads. Just spotted the mistake when I looked at my photo.
Condensed cashmere stitch is a diagonal needlepoint stitch, the first one on my sampler.
I hope to share some new stitches on my phoenix next week.

  1. This looks like weaving! I like the diagonal one and am lookingk forward to seeing your phoenix.

    1. I like the diagonal one too, but it took me much more time to stitch than the others!

  2. Needlepoint gives such a rich and textured look, and just like Anneliese says, it looks like weaving.

    1. It's amazing to see the difference appearances of the stitches. I'm glad I'm stitching them all with the same thread and colour.

    1. This sampler will have 81 1 inch squares, so it will take some time to finish it. I will finish my phoenix first!
