In December I
participated in Marit’s Top 2000 Party. It all started with this old book from
our library. It’s a book about cricket, so I just had to use the song Dreadlock
Holiday for one of my spreads. I used a part of the page with a cricket photo as part of my spread.
Here I’m working on my
first spread, which I shared here. All other spreads are in this blogpost.
When all spreads were
done I started working on the cover of my book. I used some parts of the
printed version of the Top 2000, printed photos of the artists and origami music
paper. This is the front cover with Billy Joel and John Lennon.
For the inside of the
front cover I wanted to add a list of the songs I used for my spreads. When I was
working on that I remembered the music paper from many years ago, when I took
keyboard lessons. I used the notes and lyrics from Imagine as my background.
The inside of the back
cover with the artists of the first 5 spreads I made.
And the backside of my
cover with 10CC, Youp van ‘t Hek and Nits.
So now I’m ready for a
new journaling challenge: Marit’s workshop Let it Loose, which starts today. So
I’m off to download the first lesson.
