Lapjeswerk

M'n sampler is eindelijk klaar en heet nu LAPJESWERK. Vanmiddag heb ik de datum en mijn naam op het label geborduurd en hem op de quilt geappliqueerd. Normaal zet ik alleen de maand en het jaartal op het label, maar 29 februari vond ik toch wel een speciale dag. Vooral omdat deze quilt zo lang heeft moeten wachten tot hij klaar was. Dit is vast een foto van het label. Voor een foto van de quilt heb ik een paar extra handen nodig, dus die komt later.
I finished my sampler and now it has a name: LAPJESWERK (this is the Dutch word for patchwork). This afternoon I embroidered the date and my name on it and I stitched it on the back of my quilt. Usually I only put the month and the year on my label, but 29 February is a special day. Especially because this quilt has waited so long to be finished. I only have a photo of the label for I need a pair of extra hands to make a photo of the quilt. So that is yet to come.
