Many weeks ago I promised
to share the finished crochet of my youngest daughter. She crocheted this cute giraffe
for her best friend’s baby girl.
My daughter is left-handed and she wanted me
to teach her how to crochet.
She learned crocheting right-handed, I'm a very proud mum!
We both crocheted the
same pattern. My giraffe is for another babygirl, born last week. It’s the new
granddaughter of my sister in law.
Here you see our giraffes
side by side. We didn’t use the same yarn, so mine is slightly taller.
We had to adapt the tails
to make it safe for a baby, our solutions were different.
I found the pattern for
Gigi giraffe on Ravelry.
How lovely, they are both so cute!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks, Susan. It was fun to crochet this with my daughter!
VerwijderenWhat a fun project for you and your daughter; she did a great job working with her right hand. Good thinking, making the tails 'baby safe'.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks, Queenie. I enjoyed seeing her designing her own tail, she's a quick learner!
Verwijderenso cute and what a great first your daughter has done it could not have been easy doing it right handed
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks, Margaret. No it wasn't easy for her. I told her she could crochet lefthanded with the help of YouTube videos, but she wanted me to help her.
VerwijderenThey are both super cute.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks, Angelica.
