When I wanted to add more
beads to my block I finally saw it was already finished. Yesterday I damp
stretched it.
Today I could take a nice
photo of my finished block. Just click the photo to take a closer look.

BeantwoordenVerwijderenThank you, Margaret. I\m very happy with it!
VerwijderenIt is beautiful, even with the colourful pins!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhen the light shines on it in the second picture you can appreciate the structure of the raised stitches, beads and lace
Thank you, Queenie. I tried taking photos without sun, but they were not half as pretty.
VerwijderenA beautiful block, the bead work is gorgeous along with the little flowers, it reminds me of weddings!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThank you, Susan. It was so much fun to add beads to this block!
VerwijderenAbsolutely beautiful!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThank you, Renee. It's fun to see it grow with every stitch and bead.
VerwijderenBeautiful beadwork and stitching Annet :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThank you, Jeannette. I'm glad I made this CQ my WIPW project.
VerwijderenThat is so pretty. You have done just the right amount of work on it.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThank you, it was not easy to decide to stop decorating on this block!
VerwijderenI've been wondering about damp stretching my crazy blocks. I was worried about damaging any fabric that isn't normally washed. Will have to give it a go now that t've seen you do it!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYes, damp stretching is great for CQ. Just be sure your threads are colourfast, so they don't bleed on the fabric when they are wet!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAnd the fabrics. (The stocking I made has a fancy blue fabric that is NOT colorfast. Luckily, steam ironing it made this clear when I pieced the block, so I used extra caution.)
VerwijderenYou're right! I always wash my fabrics and if they keep bleeding I don't use them, so I forgot to mention it.
