This year's Halloween ATC. I drew the Jack-O-Lantarn on an old book page. My swap partner liked it!

Inktober
This year I’m participating
in Inktober. Inktober is a month long art challenge created by artist Jake
Parker that is focused on improving skill and developing positive drawing
habits. A great excuse to make a new journal for my drawings. Take a look at it
here. These are my face doodles from last week, all drawn with a fountainpen.

Australia sampler
Years ago my mother started this Australia sampler for my father. She got a poor eyesight over the
years, so now I’m going to finish it for my parents. I share an update from
time to time to keep me going. I finished this floral item in the bottom left
corner.
Only 2 more items left of this to
stitch!

ICAD 2018 box
This year I participated
in ICAD (Index Card A Day) for the third time.
There was a weekly theme with daily prompts. I shared my cards on my Facebook blog and Instagram. In my last ICAD post I shared the embroidered label of the box
for my index cards, but I forgot to share the finished item! My box is made of
cardboard and fabric with an Aida label, you can see a progress photo here. It’s
made almost the same way as last year’s box.

The cards fits nicely!

365somethings2018
In January I started a
new challenge: 365somethings2018. For me this is playing with paint,
markers, pencils, (hand carved) stamps, clippings, etc on paper. This can be
collaging in an altered book, drawing on index cards, doodling or drawing in a
Moleskine, painting on watercolour paper, etc. Sometimes I’ll share a few of my
365somethings2018 here, but you can follow my challenge on my Facebook blog or Instagram. These are a few examples of the last weeks.

I doodled this face with
a fountain pen.

These faces were doodled
with a needleroller ball in blue and black. I don’t think I use them again in this journal, because it was bleeding to the backside. |

Australia sampler
Years ago my mother started this Australia sampler for my father. She got a poor eyesight over the
years, so now I’m going to finish it for my parents. I share an update from
time to time to keep me going. I finished this fish, which was the last item in
the upper left corner.
And this is the complete upper left corner.
Only 3 more items in the bottom left corner to go!

And this morning I doodled a
