De nieuwe wending uitdaging

There’s a quilting challenge at the Dutch Quiltersgilde. This is the second month of the nine month challenge. This time we had to experiment with the economy block. First I drew a lot of blocks and cut them to see what I could do with it.

This was not what I liked for this challenge. I wanted to change the block in a way you could still see it’s an economy block. So I drew my nine patch variation over the economy block, this was what I was looking for!

I wanted to use the same fabric again and I combined it with orange and brown.

All 27 parts are cut, time to start stitching.

And here’s my finished and ironed 6 x 6 inch block. I like my variation!
