Spring ATC’s

Last month I had another swap with my Instagram friend Debbie. At the time they arrived at her home I was very busy and I almost forgot to share them here. Her ATC’s arrived on the day I sent mine, so I could take a photo of the four of them.

I made 2 completely different ATC’s for her.

The first one is handlettering with fineliners and a bold marker.

The second one is embroidery in stranded floss. I used stem stitch and French knots. It was inspired by the Prunus in our neighbourhood.

And these are the ATC’s Debbie made for me, she’s so good in watercolour painting!

I just love the face ATC, I think it would look pretty in fabric too!

The finished and framed Australia sampler

Years ago my mother started this Australia sampler for my father. She got a poor eyesight over the years, so I finished it for my parents. Two months ago I finished the last item of this sampler. You can read my work in progress blogs here.

Now the Australia sampler is framed and hanging at the my parents house.

For my father it’s a reminder of his 3 brothers, who emigrated to Australia in the 1950’s.

For week 20 I made a collage from old painted book pages in Dutch and English. I always put my leftover paint on old book pages to use in collage.

Australia sampler

Years ago my mother started this Australia sampler for my father. She got a poor eyesight over the years, so I finished it for my parents. I shared an update from time to time to keep me going. Two months ago I made the last backstitches on the last item of this sampler.

The Australia sampler is already framed and hanging at my parents house. I hope to share the finished sampler soon!
