Spiral

The last few weeks I had no time to do the zentangle challenges at I am the diva. This morning I just made time. I combined challenge 208-210 in  this ZIA in my red Moleskine. Challenge 208 was a duotangle: Cubine vs Poke Root. For challenge 209 you had to use green and this week’s challenge 210 was Spiral string.

Sam

A few weeks ago I found Sam in my cupboard. He was still waiting for his legs.

I already crocheted his legs, so all I had to do was attach them.

Sam is now a very happy dog!

Work In Progress Wednesday - March 18

I added 2 needlepoint stitches to my Phoenix.

Parisian stitch in Appleton wool . . .

. . . and Byzantine stitch in 2 threads of stranded floss.

This is my last Work In Progress Wednesday post. Of course I keep blogging about this project, but WIPW is not working for me anymore. It feels like another task on my growing to-do-list. I just want to be free to write about it when I feel like it and write about other things on Wednesdays.

Mr. Leaf

Mr. Leaf is the result of a mystery card swap at Fibre Fever. We had to pick 5 numbers and the host told you what they represented. I had to use a piece of blue fabric, a moustache, a leaf, a few French knots and beads.

And this is the card I received. It’s made by Miriam. She had to use a heart, rain, a piece of green fabric, hand embroidery and a square. Isn’t it lovely?

Teesha Moore inspired patches 1

I’m participating in a series of swaps for Teesha Moore inspired patches. My January patch is still on its way to Stephanie, but my February patch to Teresa arrived a few days ago. Teresa likes gardening, so I choose a garden themed fabric and added a TAST stitch. It’s barb stitch, TAST stitch 138. I decorated it with French knots. The thread is stranded floss.

This is the pretty patch I received from Joyce, just love the owl charms!

Scissor case

I made this scissor case a few weeks ago, this tutorial helped me drawing my template. I used felt and stranded floss.

I stitched this detail without planning. Detached chain stitches in purple with turquoise straight stitches inside. Fly stitches in turquoise and orange French knots.

There was not much time to be creative last week. So I don’t have any progress for WIPW tomorrow.

Unbatz

This week’s zentangle challenge at I am the diva is UMT (Use My Tangle) Unbatz. I used it for a spread in my altered book Rooie. The background was already painted in acrylic paint.

Work In Progress Wednesday - March 4

Last Sunday I added Victorian step to my Phoenix. The thread is perle 8.

Yesterday I visited Amsterdam, a great excuse to shop at De Afstap. I bought new threads for my Phoenix: Appleton wool, DMC perle 5, Madeira silk and Dansk Blomstergarn.
