Crochet trim on my CQ fan

The last seam on my CQ fan was the curved one. I crocheted a trim in Anchor Aida #10 with a size 1½ hook. The pattern is from the book Exquisite trims in Thread Crochet by Caitlin Sainio.
Take a look at the details on this CQ fan here.

  1. This is so pretty Annette! I love those beads on the butterfly stitch, and the crochet trim and basically all of the fan! I have a quilt in progress but I don't think it will be a crazy quilt, far too much stitching! You have such patience.
I shall have to search out that book, very useful. Barbara xx

    1. Thanks, Barbara. Yes, it's a great crochet book. I found a Dutch translation of her book with crocheted flowers a few weeks ago in our library, more great patterns for my CQ!

  2. Gorgeous! (I really need to let my mom teach me to crochet...) Thank you so much for sharing a link to the detailed photos. Your seams are all so wonderfully stitched. The buttonholed cable chain stitch is still one of my favorites, but I remember it taking me forever. Yours is lovely. I love the way you dressed up the rope stitch seam, too!

  3. What a good idea to marry the seam embroidery with a crochet trim! It adds not only eye candy but structure, too.

    1. Thanks, Margaret. I bought the book a few months ago, but when I saw that trim I knew it would be great for this seam! Luckily I found the matching crochet thread recently.
