Long tail chain stitch

TAST stitch 114 is long tail chain stitch. TAST stands for Take A Stitch Tuesday, an embroidery challenge at Pin Tangle.
Sharon’s square sample was the base of my experiment on Gingham. The threads are cotton a broder size #16 and #25. The green long tail chain stitches are woven, it’s just a woven detached chain stitch with a long tail.

  1. I love the way you worked the woven detached chain stitch in. There are just so many possibilities!

    1. First I just stitched normal long tail detached chain stitches, but changed them a woven variation.

  4. Trust Annet to come up with this beautiful - and very logical - combination! It looks great on gingham, too.
