Crazy White block 4 finished

This is the second finished block for my tone on tone CQ. After patching the block I added knotted feather stitch and a cross stitched butterfly in the bottom left corner. Next I added beaded triangular buttonhole stitch and alternating buttonholed cable chain. For the finishing touch I added bugle beads to the knotted buttonhole stitch, secured the doily with transparent seed beads and added 2 stacked buttons.

All stitches except the cross stitch are part of Take A Stitch Tuesday, an embroidery challenge at Pin Tangle.

  1. Bird's foot prints on fresh snow with sunshine - that is what I though when I saw this beautiful block. I had to go to Flickr and use the magnifying glass to fully see the delicate details.

    1. Well, the complete wal hanging will take some time. I only patched four blocks and finished 2 of them. I'm not sure how many block I want in this quilt yet.
