Half buttonhole wheels

A few weeks ago I wrote about the vintage book page I made for Trillian. One of the seams was decorated with half buttonhole wheels and French knots.
I promised to share how I did this without marking the fabric.
I just cut a half circle from an old floss bobbin and secured it with tacking thread to the fabric.

  1. That is REALLY smart, and this is my FAVORITE sitich. Thanks for sharing. This could be used with other stitches too! I love to see what other smart ladies are thinking!

  2. How clever! I'm off to make one of those! Spacing is always a challenge for me. Thank you!

    1. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment on this old post. I hope it works for you!
